The Rebellion of Túpac Amaru II lasted from 1780 to 1783 in Peru and Upper Peru. Indigenous leaders mobilized Quechua, Aymara, and mestizo rebels against colonial exploitation, forced labor, and increased taxation. Spanish authorities executed Túpac Amaru II in 1781, but other leaders continued the resistance. The uprising ultimately ended in Spanish victory.
